Founding Scriptures
The founder was called and inspired by the following Scriptures to establish Pilgrim's Impact.
Ephesians 4: 11-13
“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to quip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ....so that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard in Christ."
2 Timothy 3: 16-17
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work."
Haggai 1: 2-4,8
“This is what the Lord of Heaven’s armies says: The people are saying the time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord. Then the Lord sent this message through the prophet Haggai: why are you living in luxurious houses while My house lies in ruins? ..... Now go up into the hills, bring down timber, and rebuild my house. Then I will take pleasure in it and be honored, says the Lord."
Matthew 25: 37-40
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me; I was in prison and you visited me....Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
